CEMETERY

The Chevra Kadisha (Burial Society) is composed of members of all three local Jewish congregations in Chattanooga.  We have arrangements with two local funeral homes: J. Avery Bryan and Chattanooga Funeral Home (downtown location).

From Atlanta, when I-75 splits for Knoxville-Nashville, bear LEFT toward Nashville on I-24. This will take you toward downtown Chattanooga.   There will be another split once you are passing downtown Chattanooga.  Bear RIGHT at the split toward Downtown on I-27.  (Left would take you to Nashville).

(From Nashville, when I-24 splits for Knoxville/Atlanta-Downtown, bear LEFT toward Downtown on I-27.)

After you cross the Tennessee River, start looking for the Dayton Blvd Exit.

On Dayton Blvd (going toward downtown Redbank), you will go through the Signal Mountain Blvd. intersection (stay on Dayton Blvd.).  Continue to the next traffic light (across from Ace Hardware which is on your right).  Turn left on Hedgewood Drive and keep going on the winding hilly road (about .8 of a mile).  Before you intersect with Lullwater Road, you will see the Cemetery straight ahead on the hill.  Lullwater is the road in front of the Cemetery.

B'nai Zion members have been given burial at B'nai Zion Cemetery since 1891.

*Names, birth and death dates as found on the markers up to the year 2001.

NOTE: These cemetery lists were done by volunteers of the HCTGS, and not by the staff of B'nai Zion. We have placed these lists on our website for your convenience, but please understand that they were created by the HCTGS for the purpose of documenting gravestones within a cemetery.  As such, the lists are a helpful starting point, but are by no means meant to be a comprehensive documentation of the families.  Since they were created as a work of love by genealogical society volunteers, be cautioned that the documentation may contain errors, so cross-check other sources whenever possible.
