SYNAGOGUE FACILITIES KOSHER KITCHEN

B'nai Zion has a full size, industrially equipped kitchen with separate dairy, meat, and parve sections.

All foods served are either prepared freshly from rabbinically approved ingredients or from purchased items with proper kashrut affiliations.

Our professional kitchen staff can prepare kosher meals for a few people or for several hundred.

The kitchen is a busy place day-to-day, and becomes a center of activity during special food festivals such as Brotherhood/ Sisterhood Shabbat, Congregational Seder, the Israeli Fair, and of course, the High Holy Days ... and more.

Just a few of the regular monthly/weekly food festivals include:
Shabbat Mishpacha
Shabbat Simha
Lunch 'n Learn
Beit Sefer Ivri Dinners

Members may use the kitchen to prepare baked goods or other items for an upcoming simha for their family or for someone else's special occasion.

When our local Chattanooga Jewish Community Religious School (CJCRS) is in session at our facility, some classes use the kitchen to prepare typical Jewish or Israeli foods.

Kosher Food, Anyone?
Kosher meat is available via direct order to Quality Kosher Meats in Atlanta, Georgia (telephone 800-305-6328, or fax 770-636-8675). They sell all kinds of kosher goods, and they deliver directly to B'nai Zion every few weeks.

Some kosher food is also available (on a limited basis) from the local Bi-Lo Food Stores and Wal-marts.
